I think Chara means it as in "You're done with this game, go kill people in another one now, as you always did as a player.". Since LV 20 is "defeating the enemy and becoming strong", The LV limit for destroying humanity would probably be way above LV 20.ĮDIT: I forgot to respond to one part, about Chara's reasoning for telling you to quit the game. LV 20 being the same for a place with the population of about 100-200 and the entire human race wouldn't make much sense. Y'know, now that I think about it, if LV 20 is basically "destroying the reality it takes place in", and Chara is basically a part of "the surface" after post-genocide pacifist route, it'd make sense for them to destroy humanity, it'd just be in another reality that's not Undertale.īut there is one tiny issue. So it'd probably just be that one part since the world besides that doesn't exist. I think the surface in Undertale is basically just that one "room" where the pacifist route ends and Toriel asks you whether you'll stay with her or leave them, the one with the view of the sun. While the surface in Undertale is a metaphor of reality, it is important to note that it is still part of the game and not actually reality. Chara tells you stop because they believe continuing to play is a waste of both of your time. Asriel says to stop because it’s the moral thing to do for the characters and story. Chara after genocide becomes aware that their world is just a game and pointless in the grande scheme of things, this is why they have no qualms with destroying the world and everyone in it.īoth Asriel and Chara tell you to stop playing the game. It’s everything in the game, including the surface. Originally posted by Cardiavolo:But isn't the whole "LV 20 = Erasing the world" thing only about underground? I don't believe they can go from killing a skeleton that can alter gravity to destroying the entire world.
